While the Redskins’ long-term quarterback situation remains unclear, the team established some stability when it comes to their head coach.
According to ESPN’s John Keim, the Redskins have signed head coach Jay Gruden to a two-year extension on his current five-year contract.
Gruden had two years left on his original deal before the extension.
In three years with the Redskins, Gruden has compiled a record of 21-26-1 with one playoff appearance and one division title.
The extension was reported by ESPN during the NFL Combine and as the Redskins are in the midst of contract discussions with quarterback Kirk Cousins.
