Continues Exemplary Leadership in Supporting D.C. College Aspirants
The Kappa Scholarship Endowment Fund, Inc.® (KSEF) recently crossed the $3 million mark in portfolio value for first time in KSEF’s 33 year history. KSEF provides four-year scholarships to deserving graduating high school seniors from the DC Public High and Public Charter High Schools. KSEF scholarship recipients have enrolled in many of America’s best regional and national colleges and universities.
One of the main drivers for the growth of the endowment is the Named Endowed Scholarship Program (NESP). This program allows donors who contribute at least $5,000 to honor an individual or organization by establishing a scholarship in their name.
KSEF will host its 34th annual Celebrity Auction and Soul Food Feast this fall at the Blackburn Center at Howard University. The event is KSEF’s annual fundraiser bringing local celebrities and more than 700 attendees together every year for live and silent auctions of trips, fine art, electronics, and other items.
