Join Jazz star Frank McComb as he headlines the Capitol Hill Jazz Foundation Hill Fest in Washington, D.C., along with other national and local acts. The inaugural event will be held Oct. 7, 2017 at Garfield Park (2nd St SE & F St SE) from 10:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m. Hill Fest will bring musicians together in an effort to translate performances to policy. The festival starts with a conference addressing policy concerns that directly affect musicians on a local and national level, followed by a day-long concert. The Capitol Hill Jazz Foundation’s mission is to serve the Washington D.C. jazz community by providing a weekly jam session, an annual jazz festival, and arts advocacy on behalf of D.C. jazz musicians. The Foundation’s vision is to financially assist Washington D.C.-based jazz musicians, venues, and jazz education programs.
