Tuesday, Councilmember Todd had a wonderful time visiting the DC Fire And EMS Museum to learn more about the rich history of our Department. It was an excellent way to prepare for the ribbon cutting of the new Engine Company 22 at 6825 Georgia Ave, NW. Councilmember Todd invites you join him, Mayor Bowser, and Fire & EMS Chief Gregory Dean this Friday, February 16th at 4 PM to celebrate this new investment in Ward 4 public safety!
If you’re interested in visiting the Washington, DC Fire and EMS Museum — full of historic treasures at Engine Co. 3 (439 New Jersey Ave, NW) — call 202-673-1709. Learn more on their facebook page. Councilmember Todd thanks the Friendship Fire Association, Executive Director Walter Gold, and Curator Mark Tennyson for the great tour, and his good friend Dr. Bill Hasson for organizing!
The new state-of-the-art Engine Company 22 is a 19,000 square-foot, three-level facility that will facilitate faster and more efficient emergency responses for area residents. It is just one of the many exciting new developments at and around Walter Reed. Councilmember Todd played an active role in helping secure funding for this Ward 4 pubic safety investment, and is delighted to cut the ribbon with District leadership and Ward 4 residents.
