(ABC)–Once Kevin Gausman was out of the game, the Chicago White Sox put together another winning rally.

Yolmer Sanchez capped Chicago’s three-run eighth with a tiebreaking RBI single, lifting the White Sox to a 3-2 victory over the Baltimore Orioles on Tuesday night.

Welington Castillo also had an RBI single and Yoan Moncada added a sacrifice fly as last-place Chicago won for the fourth time in six games. Bruce Rondon (2-2) pitched a scoreless eighth and Nate Jones got three outs for his fourth save.

Diddy and Stephen Curry bid to buy the Carolina Panthers

(ABC)–Sean “Diddy” Combs and Stephen Curry have joined a bid with billionaire Michael Rubin to buy the Carolina Panthers, according to ESPN.

Rubin owns the e-commerce firm Fanatics which specializes in selling sports apparel and jerseys. ESPN says Rubin sent his letter of intent on Monday and is bidding against hedge fund billionaire David Tepper and financial group founder Ben Navarro.

Wizards coach Scott Brooks not concerned about timing of John Wall’s return

(ABC)–Washington Wizards coach Scott Brooks is not entirely sure when All-Star point guard John Wall will return to full-fledged practicing after missing 1½ months so far because of surgery on his left knee.

Brooks also doesn’t know how much Wall will get a chance to play before the regular season ends on April 11. But Brooks insisted Tuesday that none of that really matters, so long as Wall eventually does make it back into Washington’s lineup.

32 Olympic security guards are quarantined after norovirus outbreak.

(CBS)–On the heels of the norovirus scare that has left 32 people quarantined after being treated, the organizing committee for the Pyeongchang Olympics has called in military personnel due to concerns about the spread of the virus.

Organizers shared tips to help prevent the virus, which include washing hands with soap for more than 30 seconds, eating food that is thoroughly cooked and boiling water before drinking.

Like every major international event, there are always coughs and colds that spread around during the 17 days of the Games.

Sister of North Korean leader to come to South for Olympics

(CBS)– North Korean leader Kim Jong Un’s sister, an increasingly prominent figure in the country’s leadership, will be part of the North’s delegation to the South Korean Winter Olympics, officials said Wednesday.

Kim Yo Jong, believed to be around 30, will be the first member of North Korea’s ruling family to visit South Korea since the end of the 1950-53 Korean War. Analysts say her inclusion in the Olympic delegation shows North Korea’s ambition to use the Olympics to break out from diplomatic isolation by improving relations with the South, which it could use as a bridge for approaching the United States.

North Korea to join Olympics next month in South Korea

(CBS)–North Korea’s IOC representative on Saturday said his country is likely to compete in figure skating in next month’s Winter Olympics in South Korea, according to Japanese media reports.

Asked by reporters at Beijing airport, Chang Ung said the participation of a North Korean figure skating pair will probably happen, the reports said.

Citing unnamed sources, Japan’s Kyodo News service and broadcaster NHK said Chang was headed to Switzerland, where he could meet with International Olympic Committee officials.

Sports Director Darren M. Haynes wanted to know how some of the players would grade the team at this point in the season.

(FOX Media)–Bradie Tennell, Mirai Nagasu and Karen Chen, the top three finishers at the national championships, were selected Saturday to the U.S. team for the Pyeongchang Olympics.

Three-time U.S. champ Ashley Wagner, who complained vigorously about the marks after the free skate, was not included. Four years ago, Wagner also finished fourth but was placed on the team ahead of Nagasu. Wagner wound up with a bronze medal in the team event.

J.J. Watt’s relief fund for Hurricane Harvey victims in Houston has reached $20 million — 100 times more than the NFL star’s original goal.

More than 180,000 donations have been made, mostly for less than $100 each, since Watt started the fund Aug. 28 with a donation of $100,000 and a goal of raising $200,000, according to YouCaring, the company taking the donations.
